Product Introduction

List Tools for SharePoint is a lightweight productivity add-in designed to help site owners and power users manage list data more efficiently. It focuses on two core scenarios: importing data into existing lists and deleting large volumes of items in bulk based on a view.

Data Import to Existing Lists: Import Excel/CSV files directly into an existing SharePoint list without creating a new one. Preview the file, select a sheet, and map columns with support for common SharePoint field types (Text, Number, Yes/No, Person, Lookup, Date, Choice, Hyperlink, Currency, etc.).
Batch Delete by View: Choose any list view to load items that match the view filters, review the item count, and delete them in bulk with a single action. Ideal for housekeeping and periodic clean-up.

Built on the SharePoint Framework (SPFx), this solution works with modern SharePoint sites. You can find and install it from Microsoft AppSource and enable it at the tenant or site level as needed.

Installation

You can search for this product on Microsoft AppSource and install it from there. During installation, when enabling the app, we recommend selecting Enable this app and add it to all sites.

Entry Point

To access this tool, find its entry point in the list menu for the list where you want to import data.

Select a file to import

After launching the solution, you'll be presented with the list name and item count. Below this, there's an area for selecting the Excel/CSV file you wish to import, either by dragging and dropping the file or by clicking on the rectangle area.
If the file has multiple sheets, select the sheet you want to import before proceeding.
Once you've selected a file, it will start reading and the data will be displayed in a table.

Map the columns

In the "Columns Mapping" section, you can map columns from your Excel/CSV file to columns in your SharePoint list. Here are the column types we support:
1. Single Line of Text
2. Multiple Lines of Text
3. Number
4. Yes/No
5. Person or Group (Need to use valid email addresses)
6. Lookup
7. Date
8. Choice
9. Hyperlink
10. Currency

Data Import

Once all configuration is complete, you can start importing.
After the import finishes, click outside the dialog to return to your SharePoint list.

Select a list view to load items. The tool loads items based on the selected view's filters and criteria.
Review the item count before confirming deletion.

Load and Delete

Once data is loaded from the view, you can delete all loaded items with a single action.
This makes it easy to quickly clean up items that match your view filters.
